Our name
There was a strong preference for a name that:
- says what it does
- avoids the sterility of medical terminology like ‘clinical'
- is simple and clear with no abbreviations or acronyms.
Skills Matter was selected as a result of feedback from the research and with input from the Skills Matter Advisory Group.
The word ‘matters' was well liked, with one person commenting they liked the word because it was a value statement - mental health matters, you matter, you're important, your career matters (counts).
