Our logo and images

The Skills Matter logo is a combination of the Te Pou and Let's get real logos. It combines the style, colours and symbols from both, adopting the Te Pou purple as the prominent colour and including the Let's get real flower.

‘Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes. Wellness, Hope, Recovery.' is based on the feedback we received about bringing together the what and the why - promoting continual learning with an outcome focus and developing our workforce in the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to deliver effective mental health and addiction treatment services.

Our signature images include the catseye shell, the rainbow and the raindrop.

The catseye represent the sea element and the koru spiral in its centre depicts a person's journey of accumulating knowledge - from knowing very little about their subject to knowing a lot and becoming the expert.

The rainbow represents the sky. It also represents the reward gained (pot of gold at the end of the rainbow) from working hard towards a career goal, and the arched rainbow is sometimes referred to as a bridge across the sky - in this case, a bridge to a career or the next step in your career.

The magnified drop of water in the funding area represents Skills Matter's focus on training and funding.
