Graduate diploma
A graduate diploma is for undergraduates to pursue further study at this level.
The programme is designed to broaden knowledge and skills in a familiar subject or discipline or develop knowledge in a new area. Entry is open to undergraduates. However, those who have been able to demonstrate equivalent practical, professional or educational experience of an appropriate kind may be granted admission.
A person with a graduate diploma qualification is able to:
- engage in self-directed learning and advance study
- demonstrate intellectual independence, analytic awareness and the ability to understand and evaluate new knowledge and ideas.
A graduate diploma is registered at level 7 and requires a minimum of 72 credits at level 7; and a minimum of 120 credits from levels 5 or above. A graduate diploma may provide the basis for postgraduate study.
